EuroBookCrossers' Diary #1
49 journalers for this copy...

This diary is "book in progress" written by anyone who gets it.
The idea of a "running diaries" is from an italian bookcrosser (screename gcielo) who released 3 of them in Italy ("I pensieri dei bookcorsari #1, #2, #3") and thay are still circulating.
Two of them (#2 and #3) are in high position in the most travelled book's list.
A friend bookcrosser from Nederland (screename imdo) saw them and asked me for information and we had the idea of an EuroBookCrossing Diary ... so here we are with this little book.
Write on it anything you want and pass it on to some other bookcrosser, in your country or in another (it could be nice if this diary could cross a borderline as often as possible)... and do not forget your journal entry.
Good writing and have a nice book.

I thought this book would miss me, since I left early from the first BC meeting last week. However, it was in the mail today! I'll make an appropriate contribution and then pass it on. To Portugal, I think!

This - along with some pictures - is my contribution.
My (screen)name is Willemijn. I'm from Deventer, the Netherlands. I'm a bookcrosser for nearley half a year now. It's a bit dramatic to state that it has changed my life. But it has :-) For the better!
I have always read a lot of books and I thought I couldn't just give them away. Now it has become ever so easy. And rewarding!
Thanks to Rubyblue, who has a gift for making people enthousiastic, I sought contact with the press. The regional newspaper did an interview on bookcrossing, I was on national television and I spoke to a BBC-word journalist. Great fun!
I love swapping books with people from all over the word. I made some splendid contacts with crossers in Germany, Portugal, US and Canada. Leaving a book on a bench in a train and have it found has the same quality, however.
Let's keep it up!

On the pic you can see Atenea-Nike and me holding the book :)

I have enjoyed seeing the "real" handwriting of many fellow european bookcrossers, and reading about their successful meetings has made me feel very envious.
In my entry I simple stated how BooKCrossing has made my life better, not only for the adrenaline/serendipity rush of releasing and catching books, etc, but also for the sense of community, of a common love for books that overcomes (most of the time) all other possible differences.
I hope this little book travels far far away, and I want to thank Marco for starting it.

This EuroBookCrosser's Diary #1 was brought to me from Mady, I'm now writing my litle part in it:)

Had it in my mail today - already read most comments and the bill really got me... Will write in it tonight and send it on - but since we have a meeting in midApril I wish to get it back (or someone else who will attend the meeting) so we can all write in it. Then I wish to make it travel north to Scandinavia... we'll see...

I liked to read all those little notes by BCers from outside Germany. I found it really enjoyable...
Now it's on its way to Munich... have fun little book :)))

Thank you very much for sending this great book to Hamburg! Sorry, for writing this jornal entry so late, but during the easter holidays I had no connect to the net. Last Wednesday, we had our meetup in Blankenese Beach. Very nice evening with at lest one book mountain ;-)
I wish you a very good travel, little book. Make lots of love, peace and many friends on your way!

A great surprise for me to find this Euro diary at my first meet up! And a great surprise to find the signature of my German friend "Mojito" that suggested me to go to this meetup!!!

We found this diary during the last Bergamo-Brescia meet-up. Agatha-Christie made us this wonderful surprise. Everyone was very surprised and excited. We found it very special and full of souvenirs, emotions, photos. Thanks to all of you.

Since the book has made its way again to Lisbon, I couldn't let this chance go without taking another look at it and see what was added after I've seen it the last time :) It's turning into a really nice book!! :) Greetings to all that have already taken part of the book (and also to those who will do it in the future).

This Diary was finally in my hands!
If you want to know some Portuguese Bxers you just have to take a look at the Diary, I attached some very nice pictures taken in the beautiful village of Sintra.

I rate the book 10 because it was a complete surprise for me to discover one single book written with so much joy by so many different persons. I only hope it will go on with the same entousiasm.

Reliquia

I got to write my tiny greeting in our BC meeting, at Tampere. That was nice, I felt like I was part of bigger community ;) I felt like you guys really are all my friends. And yes, somehow you are.

Hi!
I got to participate in this great ring when Annelis brought the book to our meeting in Tampere! It was interesting to read about fellow Crossers. I'm glad I am part of this friendly international community. :)

Wow! EuroBookCrosser's Diary is a wonderful little book. Annelis brought the book to our meet-up in Tampere, so we all could write a line or two.
Thank you, Bookcrossers!
Thank you, Bookcrossers!

I got to have a look of the book (and write a few words, of cource) in our meeting in Tampere. I didn't have much time with the book so I didn't get to read everything in it. It was fun though and I would have liked to listen the CD. :)

I skimmed through the book. I hope I could have had more time to really read the entrys. The book gave me such a nice feeling of being connected.

I was lucky enough to see the book, not enough to read it properly. But It was nice to see all the pics and things inside it. I saw the book in the first Bookcrosser's meeting in Helsinki, thanks to Annelis :)

Yesh! Saw The Diary at Helsinki MeetUp, what a great thing it is. I'm so happy to be a tiny part of this amazing thing. Thank you all Diary Authors and Annelis for bringing it to us.

Then the book will make a short detour around Sweden in a mini-ring before going on to Gyd. It will travel first to Halmstad to mymmel, then to Göteborg to Silverstone and then back to me and on to Spain.

So, now this wonderful diary is on it's way back to pikapolonika and the Swedish detour is ended....I am so happy that I got a chance to read this one through and add my little something... and a challenge....that's for the ones after me to find out... Happy Travel little diary!

Thanks to Gyd, this EuroBookCrosser Diary was yesterday in the unofficial meet-up of january (we celebrate two meet-ups a month, because we miss these meetings a lot and a whole months is too much time). The group met at Mauri Snack-Bar in the Eixample quarter and we were around 25 BXers! I sure don't remember all the names but some people around there were: Die-Spinne, Littlejunior2, Carax, Kub, -Lia-, RaquelC, Chamorro, Lupina, Marsalvador, Anamapola, TuXo, Orangequeen, Legionario, Gertrudis, Sua, Pirilampa, Neila, Enerby, Garson and myself.
I just received the book that same afternoon and Garson took it to me in the way to the meet-up, so I hadn't been able to read anything, just check the book was into the envelope and it is really a little and especial jewel!
On the night, after the meet-up and the dinner for a few BXers, I was reading these traveler pages although I was dying for sleep! Really gorgeous!
Well, the book will be travelling to Atenea-Niké in a few days with the little entry of this group of crazy BXers in Barcelona.
Note of late: Carax has published in the spanish forums the list of attendants to the meet-up. I just forgot a few BXers: ElAficionado and Cucafera.
A last thing: yesterday it was -Lia-'s Birthday and we celebrated it during the meet-up!

thanks so much to athena-nike from spain for sending me this little gem. my apologies to her, because i didn't register it on bookcrossings right away (i have been sick in bed all week with a virus). I was unable to go to the May Meetup in Vienna, because I was invited to the Peter Gabriel concert for my birthday. However, there should be nothing impeding me from going to the June meetup in a few weeks to share with everyone and have them sign it and add our VIENNA BOOKCROSSERS group picture.
thanks again for sending it my way. record shows the journal was in vienna back in september, and our group has grown, so i'm sure they'll all be excited to have it in our temporary possession again!!! I think after the next few people on the list receive the journal, it will be time to start a new one, because this one only has a few pages left!

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
RELEASE NOTES:
Update June 14 - more PMs sent to ben3000, still no reply, profile looks pretty 'dead' too. Sender address was on original envelope but it was never returned to me (in case I was given wrong address) so can at this stage only assume ben300 received book but stalled the ring * buhu* Apologies to everyone who was still expecting this cool little book.

Trying to find the book...
kinedi, since you have a name and an address, have you ever tried www.telefonbuch.de to check, if the address is registered and correct? Not everybody is listed there though.
What a pitty.
