Obviously, the book that the super-famous movie is based on. I have seen the movie, and I think it's very good - although on general principle it does tend to bug me a little when I like movies that everybody else likes too, so I wouldn't call myself a fan :-) - and have thought several times that I would like to read the book. So when I came across it very cheaply - see below for details :-) - of course I had to buy it.

It does really piss me off how the name of the book has been changed after the movie came out. It was actually 'Schindler's Ark', as it also does say on the cover of this movie tie-in edition, but now it's officially called 'Schindler's List'. Just because the movie was such a big hit. That really annoys me. Oh well. An update will follow once I've read the book.

I got this book at a store called Askeladden in Sandvika outside Oslo on Thursday, December 7th, 2006. They had a great sale - a whole plastic bag full of used books for only 100 NOK. (About $15.) Of course I had to get one. :-) I managed to get 28 books in my bag - not bad. ;-)

I read the book years ago but apparently forgot to journal it. It was a gripping read, well written, naturally quite depressing.
