Arrived today! We are vey intrigued with this! It will be interesting to learn more about who Lemony Snicket is as a person!
We were suprised to pull this one out of the box! It didn't look like anything we expected. But it is really cool!
I'm so confused about who Beatrice is. Are there two Beatrice's? If so, why? And are these characters all children, or have they known eachother since childhood, or are there both children and adults involved? I'm so confused!!

This book was strange. I didn't really understand it. The most confusing thing is the initial code for people's names. Can anyone remember what the names are that go with the initials?

Like most everyone else, this book left me more confused than before. The only thing I really know about Beatrice now that I didn't before is her last name. And that confuses me as well.

I have finished reading this book and it has left me utterly and totally confused! I'm not sure what to make of it. I hope that reading the final book will help clarify some things.

I found this on my doorstep this afternoon...the postman must not have rung the doorbell. I think the spiral order is a little messed up...I was supposed to receive this between books 12 and 13, but I have only received and read through book 8. Ahh well. NMReader has me holding onto what I have anyway for the moment, so I'll hold onto this and try to read it in order after book 12.
I read this last night, and like everyone else, I didn't learn anything major and found it to be mostly confusing. I'll try to get it in the mail this weekend.
I put this in the mail to bigcurlyloz yesterday afternoon. Only one more book to go! I can't wait to see how it all ends.

Very confusing and it seemed to be a bit of a waste of paper! The binding of it was very pretty though. Maybe I'm getting bored of there being lots of hints and questions raised, but never being answered, who knows! Hopefully the last book will reveal all.

The book was very strange and it didn't really answer any questions, just raised more! Despite this a lovely illustrated book.

Tantalising indeed. I think I should understand more now, but maybe the truth is I know even less than before, as there are more queries raised in my head. I enjoy these mind games. Well the letters are nicely wrapped and the cover is great.
But as the autobiography the letters are too "mysterious" and they are not as good as the series at all.
I didn't like to read them much.
I'm more excited to start the grim grotto now. ;)
