from Helen Fisher, an anthropologist with Rutgers University: "What an adventure! E.O. Wilson weaves colorful stories about snakes and sharks, ants and hyenas with principles of nature and insights into human nature - including aggression, altruism and homosexuality. And he provides a vision for the future of science and humanity, all with a keen and seasoned scientific eye, a charming humor and a poet's sense of wonder. When I read Wilson, I always feel as if I have been let in on a secret."
