Anna Pigeon, US District Park Ranger, in Glacier National Park, in the Rocky Mountains of Montana & extending into Canadian Rockies! Anna Pigeon has a new job of hanging out bait with blood & guts for a scientific study of DNA to study & track the hunting trails & habitats of 400 pound & up 'grizzly bears' ! Anna & her workmate, Joan get the DNA by placing the blood lures on barbed wire so that the bears leave a little bit of fur stuck to the barbs! One night a grizzly attacks their tent camp, but doesn't kill them, but the next day on the trail a mauled body is found, & the hunt for a 'killer grizzly' is underway !

Journal Entry 2 by Sherlockfan from Upper Hutt, Wellington Province New Zealand on Wednesday, January 31, 2007
Arrived safely. It's taken me a while to enter some of these books because real life kept intervening but I've nearly done.
Tomorrow I'm being interviewed by a reporter from the DominionPost, our main Wellington newspaper. She is coming to the house and bringing a photographer so she'll see the wonderful collection of things sent from folk like you to make our convention great. Many thanks.

Caught during the NZ Bookcrossing Convention. Book was in excellent condition, and will be plesaed to be released in the South Island.
Nice to read a story that stays reasonably believable throughout. I have one question finishing this book... Who shot at Anna and tried to kill her with the large rock?
Journal Entry 5 by The-Organist at Mt Hutt Station on a seat outside in Methven, Canterbury New Zealand on Tuesday, April 17, 2007
Book was in good condition when found and released. Found by a family member in Mount Hutt area. Released in Kaiapoi North Canterbury. Personally I found the book slow, got bored with it and skipped through it, bears not and interesting subject for me.
First I've heard about the bookcrossing, what a brilliant idea, hope more books come my way.
