Andi is a very symbolic character, the one who saves every victim she can and avenges those she can't. It feels good to stand with her. I thought the ending was slightly weak, but just in comparison to the rest of the book which was strong and opinionated and essentially perfect. Maybe I just didn't want to see Andi go. But Andi left a legacy of strength to Mary, and maybe to we readers as well.
Read by my son Michael who had this to say about it:
Thought the woman who wrote it was a bit of a raving environmentalist. The story kept my interest however. The interactions, characters and ideas were neat. But it didn't come to a decisive conclusion. Also the title makes it sound like its about werewolves or some nonsense, but it's not.

I am taking this off my permanent shelf as it has sat there unread for a few years now. I'll let someone else enjoy this well written story.
I am putting this in the paperback mystery book box.

I am of 2 minds on this novel. On one hand, it was beautiful writing. It evokes the austere beauty of the West (mostly set in New Mexico and Idaho). The main character, Andi Oliver, was someone I cared about. She wakes up one morning in a bed-and-breakfast without her memory of who she is and forges her own identity. She makes up her name based on initials (AO) found on a bag. She is also on the run from a man called "Daddy" - but is he? However, this novel was also extremely frustrating. The action slowed to a crawl at times and the conclusion was totally unsatisfying. Overall, it was good, but I kept expecting more.
Bonus RABCK - please feel free to release if this is not something you enjoy. Just a little something extra. Have a great day!
