A beutiful story set a little bf the Colonial war.Ethan is a patriot and Katie ends up a double spy.The story is common. They go through a lot but they end up together-with the uncertainty of the war just around the corner. But then it's fiction, of course they'll make it. What really impressed me was the heroine's character. She's not one of those women who constanly lament their fate and whine all around. She knows what she has to do, and does, she's completely realistic and at times cynical. She doesn't fall for the hero immediately but when she does it's deep and strong the emotion.Ethan on the other hand, is a bit of a mystery. We don't get to know a lot about him, apart from the reason for spying on the British, and that is rather vague.Yet, he's great to read about, especially when he demands Katie to tell him she loves him! What a man, what a hero!
