Winter Solstice
3 journalers for this copy...
This book caught my eye on the reduced table because of its title and its setting - UK. The main character is a retired woman who "abandons London for a quaint country village". After that its all about people she meets and where they take her during the few weeks around the winter solstice.
Not a deep, hidden meaning kind of book but sort of a "things usually work out for the best" type.

Journal Entry 2 by AlbionsRefuge at Queen's University - Stauffer library in Kingston, Ontario Canada on Wednesday, January 15, 2003
Released on Wednesday, January 15, 2003 at Stauffer Library on Queen's Campus in Kingston, Ontario Canada.
I've left it by the pay phones in the Loggia - good luck little book - it's my first release of one of my own books so I'm a little sentimental.

Sorry that it took so long.
I picked it up in the library last year. I didn't have much time to read it. So it took a long time. I waited with my pick-up-confirmation until I'd finished it.
It's really a great book. Thanks for letting it free. I'll go tomorrow to Indigo and will look for another book by R. Pilcher (maybe the shell seeker?)
I'll release it at a place, where I can be sure that a "true" reader finds it and no one of the "crossing-book-collectors".
Enjoy the book!

RELEASE NOTES:
I`ve forgotten to write a release note. Ups! Well - was my first released book :-)
Not sure whether I really released it in Canada or in Germany. It`s a long time ago.

Didn't read it. Another one of Rosamund Pilcher's compassionate books.
Found the book in a change room at the store I work in. We put it in the lost and found for a week or two, then one of us finally noticed the sticker last night. I am going home to Vancouver in a few weeks so I am going to leave it there. Seems like it has been floating around Kingston for awhile, so I wanna give a good send off.
Good luck book!
