Oops. Second copy. I haven't read yet, but S.V.'s The Girl in Hyacinth Blue was great.
Sent to affinity4books as part of WarEagle78's Anything Goes Virtual Bookbox.
Thanks colebear! What a pretty book. I also enjoyed The Girl in Hyacinth Blue~ I hope this one is as good. I hope to read it over the holidays.
A good example of historical fiction. Instead of cramming in details and names, this was a more intimate take on the life of one of painting's pioneering women. I enjoyed the details regarding how she chose subjects, placement, etc. in her paintings, and the focus on the significant relationships in her life. A hopeful ending, which is always nice after reading about difficult events.
Will be passed along to another Bookcrosser who enjoys historical novels next week.
