Revenge of the Middle-Aged Woman
1 journaler for this copy...

The title for this book is a bit misleading, as it isn’t a story so much about revenge, but of learning to cope with life’s curve balls.
Rose and Nathan have been married for 25 years. They have two children; both have demanding jobs and have made a home filled with love and memories. Suddenly Rose’s life is thrown into tumult when her husband leaves her for a younger woman, who happens to be a co-worker. When Rose’s job comes to ruin, she must learn to put her life back in order.
Most chick-lit type books handle this with a lot of laughter. This book seems to deal with more reality. I must complain though that at times I found Rose a bit too saintly, a bit too ‘very English, stiff upper lip’. One good blow out at her ‘enemy’ would have been great; although her falling apart and coming back together was very realistically done.
I have already ordered Wives Behaving Badly, the sequel to this book.
