I have read most of this authors books although I am not sure why as I find them at best only mildy amusing and at worst slightly irritating.
My favourite is Travels Around Ireland with A Fridge but his following books I have enjoyed less.
With this current offering the author seems to have matured from a laddish stand up comedian to a male menopausal stand up comedian. The book is not laugh out loud - far from it- but has a slight humour and even a romantic sub plot which although rather gauche is also slightly endearing
