I have wanted to read this series for a long time and have been waiting for the first 2 books as part of a ring. Finally I gave in and ordered it as it was too cheap to pass up. The second book is coming to me as part of a relay and I can't wait to get stuck into this series! I hope I won't be disappointed!

I liked this alot and was glad to have finally started this series as I intend to read the next ones as well. I liked the whole set up although there wasn't much explanation as to when the paranormal happenings started or if they were always there. I also would have liked a little more insight to the paranormal beings and Animators etc but maybe that will all become more clear over the next few books.

I have to say that I found some of the book hard to follow and got a little confused at times but I think that is to be expected with so many new characters all at once in such a thin book (258 pages).

I already have the second part of the series waiting for me thanks to a bookrelay. It maybe a while till I get around to reading it but I am eager to get to it sooner rather than later. Not sure what will happen to this book but I hope it will travel!

Excellent start to a great series, I've read the first three novels one after another, and these really capture the preternatural science exactly as it would seem to be....great stuff
