Gerald's Game
1 journaler for this copy...
A husband and wife's intimate game has gone terribly wrong. Now Jesse Burlingame's isolated lakeside house has become her prison. Late in the season for lakeside visitors, with no one to hear her, Jesse is trapped with the voices in her head whispering that "Women alone in the dark are like open doors...and if they cry out for help, who knows what dread things may answer?" Listening to the unlatched back door banging in the breeze, Jesse soon discovers she is indeed not alone.
Though I found this story somewhat disturbing in parts, I still had to finish reading it to find out how it ends. Overall, I enjoyed the book.
This is another that I have in my permanent S.K. collection. My sister gave me this copy to pass along.
