Originally bought as the free one of a 3 for 2, to release for the animal release challenge. However did not get around to reading it in time and thus it joins the lower slopes of Mount To-BE.

Finally got round to reading it...and loved it!
The disappearence of the 3 children is really understated and yet haunts Adrian's life and their 'ghosts' linger throughout the story. Full of suspense and sadness, bringing home the powerlessness and confusion felt by children.

Am sending this to my Autumn NSS partner as she doesn't have a wish list, yet looking at her 'read-this-year' seems to have similar, eclectic tastes to me
Hope you enjoy it CelticSeahorse.

I finished this some time ago..but felt unclear what I thought of it. Some parts of it rang with an absolute clarity whilst others seemed to loose track. I think reading the book blurb squewed my reading of it - elements of the book were highlighted in our current soundbite way which diminished its subtley and powerful resolution and consequently didn't do the book justice

I'm glad I read this and am moving it to available to think about how to best move it on. Will probably take it to local bookgroup, or heaven forbid pass it on if we can get a local BC group going :-)

Thanks again to my NSS partner for sending me this unusual book x

Have decided to offer it as a ray
