Belatedly noting that I was delighted with this book that Wombles took to the Adelaide Conference specially for me - I'm always attracted to this author adn have a number of her books.

May take a while to read and review because I brought 20 books back with me from what was a super super convention. So many of the things that the Adelaide organisers did will provide models for the next BCNZ convention 2007 in Wellington NZ next February.

And provide models for BCNZ 2007 Adelaide surely did.

WE had a great conventin and picked up quite a few tips.
I've read this book now and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Combe Island off the coast of Cornwall had all the dramatic coast and wild seas that one expects from Cornwall and the descriptions of walking on the island and especially of listening to the sea at night and in quiet moments during the day were ecellent.

The characterisation was wery well done with believable people whoa cted in very believable ways. Adam Dalgleish was, as always, a great cop.

Taking this book to our meet-up tomorrow night where I hope it will be pounced upon with glee.

My parents have a house in Cornwall, and I have a feeling I'll enjoy this read as I soak up memories of the coastline, weather, and Cornish character :-)

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

I liked this, in a kind of non-committal way. I read it to read it and move on to the next book, rather than because I found it riveting. And I think crime fiction does have to be riveting.
The descriptions of island life were good, but I was uninterested in the characters.
