Read a long time ago and really enjoyed it. This is the story of the life and death of the authors son, Damon. Told with lots of love and pain, humour and heartbreak. Will keep for a while.

I found Bryce Courtenay's "April Fools Day" on the small brick wall of a neighbours garden very early in the morning while walking to Balaclava station to get to work. Being a cold, slightly wet day, and since the book looked a little water damaged already, i decided to rescue it. How lucky for this book that it came across me!! In late March of this year I am flying to London to begin a Contiki Tour and "April Fools Day" will be coming with me! So far I have read up to page 62 and am finding it quite an interesting read. I'm looking forward to reading this "caught" book cover to cover and then sending it on its way to be found and read by another avid reader, perhaps in gay Paris or good ole London!
