Just recieved this in the mail from ladybee. I've been eyeing it for months at the bookstore, so it will go near the to of my to-read pile.
I've already promised this book to another bookcrosser when I'm finished.

Very good! For some reason I was expecting something comedic, but was pleasantly surprised by Maguire's serious take on the Cinderella story.
While the stepmother is still inarguably evil, the stepsisters have become sympathetic, even likeable, characters in the story. All of the "Cinderalla" elements are there, though it is not exactly what one might expect.
Highly recommended.
I'll be sending this along to parizad.
