This was waiting for me when I arrived back from a trip to Glasgow. I'm really looking forward to reading it (though I'm not sure that'll be anytime soon!). Thanks bartonz!

I didn't like this as much as I thought I would. The style of writing was a pleasure to read, but the subject matter, didn't engage me whilst reading it. I liked Gabriel's conversations with Archie, but was frustrated that his titular "gift" of drawing objects and them appearing hardly featured. I realise it could also have applied to his "gift" of helping get his parents back together, but such a fantastical idea seemed to have been wasted!
Still, its another one from the 1001 list read.
