Thanks very much! After reading "With No One as Witness" I HAD to read other Inspector Lynley novels!
Inspector Lynley has been called to uncover what at first seems to be a hit and run accident but turns out to be a murder. In the following days, other people are hit by a car and while Lynley and Havers try to find the driver, a lot of unpleasant secrets are unearthed.
Another very good Inspector Lynley novel, albeit not as good as the previous one, In Pursuit of the Proper Sinner.
Also, something that happened in Playing for the Ashes is also happening here: part of the story is narrated from the point of view of one of the people involved in that particular case who is not in the police force. I have to say that this is something I don't like much. It's vital to the story but I wish Elizabeth George had thought of another way to give the information revealed in those parts.
