Picked this up yesterday at the Shanghai BookCrossers meet-up and started reading straight away. It's - how would they say in those times? - delightful!
I did get a bit fed up with the equestrian misery in the middle, but then they threw in a poor family towards the end - quite Dickensian - and it was a wonderful read again. I had to fetch an encyclopedia to look up some of the horse-related terms, though. Still not sure whether this is a children's book, or more. It's definitely not just for horse-lovers.
