This is a copy of a book I bought from a charity shop. It's a slim novel and I wanted something quick to read.
It is written very well and was pretty un-putdownable but the plot never really blossomed to its full potential. The last third of the book had a 'From Dusk till Dawn' feel about it, and a particularly decent mystery turns all supernatural. I haven't read 'Wild Animus' but I'm wondering if this last third of the book could be at all Amimus-esque.
I finished the book feeling unsatisfied. Disappointed.
