Woo hoo - it has finally arrived! I have a pile that came in over the last couple of weeks but I'm definitely looking forward to reading this one. I'll let you know what I thought and then set it free on its journey. Thank you so very much!
Update 1/15/07:
I finished this one yesterday. I quite enjoyed it, but I think the title was silly - the poor man mentioned was in the book for a couple hundred pages, was wearing the mask for about 5, and then never showed up again. That was very much not what I was expecting to happen! I think I may have enjoyed this one more if I had read one to the two others - I didn't know this was the last of the Three Musketeers trilogy. Obviously, I have led a sheltered life. LOL But I'll release this one of these days, probably with my poor copy of Vanity Fair which is languishing on my shelf. Thanks for sharing it with me - it was eminently readable and a good introduction to Porthos, Athos, Aramis, and D'Artagnan even if it was at the farther reaches of their lives.
