When Coraline steps through a door to find another house strangely similar to her own (only better), things seem marvelous. But there's another mother there, and another father, and they want her to stay and be their little girl. They want to change her and never let her go.
Coraline will have to fight with all her wits and courage if she is to save herself and return to her ordinary life.

already finished it Wednesday evening, but didn't find the time to journal:
I really loved this story! Although... if I'd read it at the age of eight (as recommended on the books back) I definitely would have had some nightmares about the other mother and esp. her right hand!! :-) Really scary illustrated, but now - at the age of TWENTYeight - I think the drawings do match the story perfectly.
Well, I think I'll try to force my little cousin to read it now...

A wonderful interesting story about Coraline and this parallel world with the other mother.
The drawings makes it perfect.
Hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Die Geschichte ist sehr ausgefeilt und spannend. Die Illustrationen sind klasse und untermalen die Atmoshäre perfekt. Welch ein Genuß!
