Lewd, lustful and irreverent. An ancient Native American god makes a hash of the life of Sam Hunter, formerly Samson Hunts Alone of the Crow reservation. Not least by nibbling on the pet of one of his neighbours while assuming the form of a coyote. Also dragged into the story are Sam's love interest, Calliope, her son Grubb, a psychotic biker ex-boyfriend and the marvellous Minty Fresh. The plot is looping, fantastic, complex and entertaining with humour which makes you laugh and wince in equal measure. I loved the bit where Old Man Coyote turns into a woman and hands Sam his unwanted....well...you'll just have to read the book!
