In this novel, Petra Connor is in the center of the action. Petra finds herself investigating a brutal drive-by shooting and is also given a student who is doing research to babysit. The student presents Petra will some cold cases that he believes to be connected. The victims have absolutely nothing in common except the method in which they were murdered and the date they were murdered on - a date that is rapidly approaching again.

A good psychological mystery - the typical Kellerman twists and turns and non-stop action. I did miss my favorite Kellerman characters though...I kept wishing that Petra would at least have a phone conversation with Alex!!!
