Lolita (Vintage International)

While this is a classic and the writing is excellent, I couldn't get past the subject matter. Every time I picked it up to read, I had this nagging feeling of disgust. I waded through this book. SPOILER WARNING!!!
Just for the record, there is no redemption at the end, so it wasn't worth the read, IMHO.

A really thought-provoking novel. Don't dismiss it out of hand for its topic: you'll miss out.
Better yet, have a friend read it so you can discuss; I did! I found Humbert's early internal struggle fascinating, as well as Lolita's use of her power in the relationship. Also comparing Humbert and the other fellow (forgot name already :\).
