Actually my book cover is quite different - red with a small picture of a dodo on a toy scooter!
Very different to anything else I've read - Thursday Next is a literary detective who is investigating the kidnapping of characters from works of fiction and then fixing the damage in the book - you need to read it to make any sense of it!

Love the scooting dodo! I now realise that this is the first in a series. I'll just have to hope I don't like it, then I won't feel I have to read the others (but the blurb makes it sound *very* interesting).

Three years and not yet read - I reckon it's time for it to find a more appreciative home.

Been intending to read this for ages. Thanks MK Libraries!

Fun! It took a while to get hooked, in fact for a while I thought it was teetering on the edge of its own cleverness and about to disappear up its own... well. But in the end the combination of plot and outrageous puns got me, and I still smile at the thought of Richard III receiving the Rocky Horror treatment. A world in which Literature is the dominant culture - ah, we can dream!
