Not terribly inspiring, but maybe it will cause a bit more respect when considering oldsters.

I sing with a women's chorus, and at break time I made a comment about my mother's upcoming 100th birthday. A friend who sings the same harmony part as I do, told me she had a book she wanted to pass on to me, which turned out to be IF I LIVE TO BE 100. I am a long-time listener (and supporter) to various public radio and TV stations, but had not heard the series "One Hundred Years of Stories." This book resonated with me in so many ways, most of all it has given me a new way of seeing and loving and being with my own centenarian, my mother, Marion Bradford Blackman DeVos, and for this I am very grateful. I plan to share the book with my four siblings.
