This book was read by my teacher to my class at a primary school in the Midlands (of England) . I really enjoyed listening to it and remember being gripped by the story. I also remember being slightly confused about it being partly set in Warsaw, which when read out loud sounds very similar to Wallsall (a city in the Midlands!).

I think it must have been this book that made me want to visit Poland, and now, twenty years later, I fulfil my quest. I am visiting Poland to attend a friend's wedding (he is English and marrying a Polish girl).

I will release the book at their wedding.
