I found it next to the Metro box, so saved it from the snowstorm. Not exactly my typical reading choice, but I'll take a look, then pass it along.
As I said, not really the sort of book I typically choose, but I decided to plow on nonetheless. It starts slowly, and I lost track of all the characters with Russian names, but eventually some momentum started building, and I found myself at least wanting to finish.
There are lots of despicable characters, and no one I was really rooting for or cared about very much. Also, quite a bit of violence. The ending wraps things up neatly, perhaps a little too neatly.
I wouldn't recommend it to everyone, but if you go for cold war spy novels and such, you might find it worth spending some time on.

I found this book at Continental Cafe and plan to send it on its way today at the South Acton Train station.
