Got at the Elmhurst, Illinois, AAUW book sale on the last day--$5 for a bag of books! This is a book I've meant to read for a long time. Onto Mt. TBR it goes!

After a long time on Mt. TBR, I found this book in my library's downloadable eBook collection. Listening to it on audio made the visceral horror of the Nazi occupation of Holland and Corrie Ten Boom's persecution and imprisonment for hiding Jews even more emotionally affecting than simply reading the book would have done. I would love to have heard her speak about her experiences.

The book is now available, a possible candidate for my First Sentences Virtual Bookbox.
