Moby-Dick
2 journalers for this copy...
This fair-condition paperback's been on my shelves for many years now as my "keeper" copy of Melville's classic novel. I recently found a better edition, though, so this one can go traveling.
About the book itself: I'd enjoyed Moby Dick when I first read it in school, though at the time I preferred the action sequences; later on I re-read it and found that I liked the various digressions into the history and techniques of whaling and the culture of the islands even more. It's a book that repays multiple readings very handsomely indeed.
Update: just wanted to add a link to this Unshelved book-club strip!
