I read this a couple of years ago, following a recommendation from a Australian friend. I was certainly drawn into the characters in this book, not that I liked them all. I wanted to go and give Ria a good shake up. It's a little slow going at first but is a light easy read. It was just what I needed during a post-op convalescence period.

Sent to bookcrossser, jackshome in England.
Thanks for releasing the book to me, I'm looking forward to reading it!!
A great story about a familys drama and friendships. Maeve Binchy really brings the characters to life. I enjoyed reading this, and am now posting it on to another fellow BCer, Stinalyn, and then it should be winging its way to Mamikaem. Enjoy :-)) and thanks for the trades!
Just received from jackshome. Thanks! I look forward to reading it before sending it along to another BCer!
I am about halfway through this book at the moment. Far enough, anyway, that I am now thoroughly depressed by the fact that we just spent the weekend sanding our hardwood floors....
Well, I finished the book and quite enjoyed it. Even if I cried a lot. I think I was expecting the ending to be a little more pat, but I can't say why. The story did end in a logical place.
The book is off to Mamikaem. (Don't undertake any house renovation projects while you are reading this book.)

Received this in the mail today! It was part of a trade from Jackshome, but a RABCK from Stinalyn (Jackshome sent it to Stinalyn and asked her to pass it on to me), so THANKS Stinalyn!! I'm looking forward to getting into this one with a box of tissues at hand.
