I love this book! I read it soon after reading Memoirs of a Geisha.
The setting of both stories are of a similar era, but this book addresses political undercurrents and the cultural constraints of the multi-class society.

Here we have another boom-a-rang book! I had given it to a friend to read and he returned it to me to release to another avid reader.
My friend enjoyed the book as much as I did. We had a wonderful time discussing it yesterday.
I intend to release it to Beachgirl59 in a couple of weeks, so I will leave it in "traveling" status.
