Adrian Mole: The Cappuccino Years

'Who would have thought... Adrian: a single father, the estranged husband of an exotic Nigerian woman, chef at a tony restaurant specializing in abominable declasse English cuisine. He has come a long way from being the youthful diarist who won international acclaim. Adrian at thirty longs for his own television cooking show, Offally Good. He is also still pining for Pandora Braithwaite, his first love, who is now a Labor M.P. given to wafting about in helicopters and sporting an electronic diary. Alarmingly, the two move toward consummation of their long standing relationship, and inexorably toward fulfillment and maturity, sort of.
5/3/03 - Never read any of the Adrian Mole books before - definitely enjoyed this (most recent) one. Although there were probably references I missed, from not having read the previous books, this was still an enjoyable (and quick) read. The character list/description in the front was most helpful. I wouldn't mind reading the others, although I would certainly want to start with the first one.

Not in the wild - gave this to Pinewood21093 today. Had a nice chat at the Pour House.
Got this from MaryZ when we met at the Pour House (far too funky for Westminster) on Sunday.
Although I've been disappointed with the sequels to the first Adrian Mole, 13 3/4, I can't help reading all of them. It's like wanting to get the news about a teenage friend you no longer see. Also, perhaps if he's muddling through, I can, too...
Thanks Mary. More to follow after reading

I got this as a RABCK after winning a game on texaswren's site. :) I must say, I only won after a generous hint. I have one other Adrian Mole book, and am very intrigued for some reason. Someone told me, however, that I should read them in order, so I will have to look for that first one mmz spoke about. :) Thanks so much! It was fun to play and win something.
