No Second Chance

Shot twice by an unseen assailant, Dr. Marc Seidman lies in a hospital bed. His wife has been killed and his six-month-old daughter has vanished. When the ransom note arrives, it gives Marc one chance to bring her back home alive. Then something goes wrong, and Marc spirals into a world of shock and surprise, of hope and yearning, where nothing is as it seems.
Dr. Marc Seidman has been shot, his wife murdered and his baby daughter kidnapped. When Marc is finally ready to go home from the hospital his wealthy, priggish father-in-law summons him to see the ransom note.
Seidman goes against instructions and involves the police and things go terribly wrong. Marc soon finds himself turned upside down in an attempt to try and find his daughter.
Just when you think you have it figured out the story hits another bump and twist and you start all over. A great set of twists and turns where nothing is as it seems.

This book is with me now
Dr. Marc Seidman only remembers eating a granola bar before waking up in the hospital after weeks because he was shot twice. His wife is dead and his six month old daughter is missing. When the ransom note comes to his father-in-law, Marc has lots of decisions to make. He goes to the authorities, which already suspect him of having something to do with the murder and kidnapping, and it results in a botched attempt to get his child back. Something doesn't feel right to Seidman though. Was one person responsible for everything or were there multiple crimes taking place?
This is my least favourite Harlan Coben book. It is completely unbelievable and the problem is that there isn't just one item that is unbelievable, there are many. For example, you visit a home in the country and try to sneak up on it with weapons. The home owner finds you and then after some talking, agrees to help you. Yeah I'm sure that would happen. This book was layer upon layer of farfetched plot lines.
My advice would be to save your time and find another book to read.

This book is back with me :)
My mom, AceofHearts, passed away from breast cancer on September 17, 2013. Aside from being one of the best people I know, she was an avid reader and took immense pleasure in Bookcrossing, her book club, and reading many great books.
Before she passed, she showed me all of her owed books and the books she wanted to give away as RABCKs, making sure that I would send everything on should anything happen. This book was marked for ababaigalit as a RABCK.

Well the book is safe in Israel. Thanks a lot for this RABCK. It was a total surprise for me, because it is true I haven't been a lot in this site, because of other hobbies that I have. I also started reading more books in hebrew. I hope that with this books maybe I will get back to reading and to bookcrossing.
Thanks for thinking of me.
