I have read (or have on my tbr) all of Jill Mansell's books and have never come across one that I didn't enjoy. She is a great writer and I have been patiently waiting for this newest book to come out in paperback.

Now it is here I have to find the time to read it. I am sure it will be read quite soon ...even though I have some older books of her still on my tbr. I intend then on sending it out on a bookring...

Journal Entry 2 by Amberkatze from Wien Bezirk 10 - Favoriten, Wien Austria on Thursday, July 20, 2006
Please make a journal entry as soon as you recieve the book and also when you send it to the next person. Then we know where the book is!

Please try and read and send this book on within a month. If you need longer please make a new journal so we know the book is still in action!

When you are finished with the book please PM the next person on the list and ask for their address so you can send it on to them!

I would appreciate a PM from any participant who wants to leave the ring or be skipped for any reason. Please do not leave it to the last minute.

Also let us know what you thought of the book but don't give too much away!

The order may change to accommodate for the postal preferences of the ring members.
Lastly if you have nicer bookcrossing labels or stickers then decorate the book a little! Also stick a postcard from your country in with a message! Could be fun :)

This Bookring is still open! Pm if you would like to join!

Journal Entry 3 by Amberkatze from Wien Bezirk 10 - Favoriten, Wien Austria on Sunday, July 23, 2006
I finished this off this morning! Another wonderful read from Jill Mansell who always manages to have such nice interesting characters that you just want to keep reading about. I am glad that her newest book is just as good as all her older ones and I hope there will be more in the future.

I won't write anything about the story itself as this book will be going off on a bookring. However I will say that the 'ashes' part must have been adapted from 'Desperate Housewives'.

Will be sending this off as soon as I have some more participants.

This actually arrived on August 18th with another book from Amberkatze and having thought I had journalled the arrival of them both.........it appears I had not done so! Thanks for the message Amberkatze and for sending me this latest Jill Mansell. I am already half way through and loving it!

Synopsis:Amazon.co.uk
Lottie Carlyle isn't looking for love when she meets her new boss, Tyler Klein. Living in a beautiful cottage with her two adorable - sometimes - kids in an idyllic village in the Cotswolds, on good terms with her ex-husband and with friends all around, she's happy enough with her lot. But Tyler's perfect for Lottie and quickly she falls for him - and he for her. Unfortunately, there's a problem. For reasons that are totally unfair, Lottie's children hate Tyler. When a rival for Lottie's affections comes on the scene in the shape of charmer Seb, the children adore him, and he's certainly a distraction. But he's not Tyler - and he's not even at all what he seems. Lottie's got a problem - but thanks, in classic Jill Mansell style, to a tobogganing accident and a delicious series of mix-ups, all will be revealed and true love will find a way.
This latest paperback from Jill Mansell is at least as good as if not better than her previous titles. A perfect read for a sunny afternoon or two!

Just about to PM tabyorky for her address so I can get this in the post Monday.

Another enjoyable Mansell, but I think I must have been zonked when finishing it as a the ending felt a little rushed and not all fireworks as I find her books are at the end. Lots of LOL moments as usual, and colourful characters!

But I liked it all the same and it was definitely a nice read! :oD

Well, I wasn't disappointed. A fast moving, light hearted story just right for a bit of escaping. Very Marian Keyes(ish). Only part I didn't go for was the sappy, too good to be true relationship between Cressida and Tom. But...it didn't take anything away from the story---and I actually wished Mansell would have delved further into their story. Maybe she will in a future book??
Mailed off today to southernfryed. Hope you enjoy! And thanks, Amberkatze for starting the ring!

This book was a pleasant read. It was my first book by Jill Mansell. Holiday things tended to take up most of my reading time though and I stretched it way longer than I should have. Thanks for sharing.

This book is now on it's way to Mochagirl.

Journal Entry 20 by Mochagirl from Sydney CBD, New South Wales Australia on Sunday, January 7, 2007
I got this on my first day back at work last week - it was a fantastic way to start the working year ;) I found it another fun, light-hearted read from Jill Mansell. Like MystikNat, I found the ending a bit rushed. And I found the stuff with Seb a bit difficult to believe. Oh well!

I've sent bargainqueen a PM to double-check her address, and the book will hopefully be on its way again quite soon.

Thanks Amberkatze for organising the ring and southernfryed for sending the book to me :)

Arrived safely and soundly. In fact, the envelope is now sending another book to far north Queensland!!

Journal Entry 23 by bargainqueen from Avondale, Queensland Australia on Saturday, January 20, 2007
Another good read by Jill Mansell. I didn't enjoy this one quite as much as some of the others, but as it is raining here (for the first time in months) I got through it quite quickly. Bit of a feelgood story with a predictable ending.
Thanks for sharing, I have pmed blaisezabini and will send this off as soon as I get the address.

Journal Entry 24 by rem_DUV-129661 on Tuesday, February 6, 2007
This book travelled really, really fast all the way from Australia! It's always great to have a Jill Mansell in the TBR pile:P
And thank you bargainqueen for all the little surprises you added in the envelope!
Will post more comments after reading!

23 February 07: This was a wishlist book and I'm really glad I got the chance to read it.
Although it was predictable, I was in need of a book with a happy ending. My favorite character were by far the little spoiled brats:P
I have pmed the next reader on the list for the address.
Thank you Amber for organising yet another wonderful ring.

it's arrived, thanks!

Journal Entry 26 by kiyoitsukikage from Brixton, Greater London United Kingdom on Sunday, May 13, 2007
The book unfolded a bit slowly (I felt), but then I caught the hang of it and I really enjoyed it a lot. I think this Seb thing was ... well, maybe it wasnt the best plot device since Lottie could've reacted more to the fact that he was cheating on her and on drugs... this abrupt solution just seemed too shallow for me. Aaaanyway as I said I enjoyed the book a lot, it was funny (including some clever language plays;)) and I'm glad I got to read it! Thanks Amberkatze!

I've already PMed the next person.

PS> Sorry for holding up the book up for so long :((
