I think I gave this to my Dad as a Christmas present some time ago. I am borrowing it.
Given up on the 220th page. When I heard about this book, I thought it must be clever to be a novel just about a boy sharing a boat with a tiger. No it is just boring.
The start with the details on comparative religions and the habits of animals in zoos was fascinating. But the boat is boring. It is also unconvincing. I have spent short amounts of time in small boats on the Pacific Ocean. I don't think it would be as placid experience as this, with or without a tiger. It is utterly unconvincing.
I will return this book to my parents this weekend.
