'When I look back on my childhood I wonder how I managed to survive at all. It was, of course, a miserable childhood: the happy childhood is hardly worth your while. Worse than the ordinary miserable childhood is the miserable Irish childhood, and worse yet is the miserable Irish Catholic childhood.'
We found this book lying unwanted and unloved on a shelf. :-(
So now it's going to make someone's wish come true! :-)

The Blue Fairy is taking this all the way to Norway to make a wish come true.
Wow, a very surprising visit from the Blue Fairy in my mailbox! I found this today, wrapped in silver paper with confetti and a bookmark inside. I'm looking forward to reading this book! :)
Thank you so much for a lovely surprise!
Thank you so much for a lovely surprise!
I know, this have stayed with me way too long...
It's funny, because I had really high expectations to this book, and I was so certain I would love it... I read about half of it last summer, but struggled with it, and took a break. I've intended to pick it up again ever since, but after over a year on my nightstand I believe it's time to let it go. I know a lot of people who loves this book, and hopefully it will find a new reader that will appreciate it!

I saw this book on a dresser at a friends place. They had found this book at Asker Kulturhus, brought it home, then found them selves in the middle of a moving process, so the book was stoved and packed away, and then saw daylight again just recently. Knowing that they had had the book for a long time, they gave it to me (together with another book by the same author that has travelled to Svelvik, Norway :)). I can't wait to read it and send it away on its new destiny.
