A friend gave me this book because she knew I greatly enjoyed the tv series Kingdom Hospital. My friend was also deeply affected by the book..she becomes a bit more personally invested in supernatural tales than I do. I'm afraid I only read it as a fun science fiction romp. I quite enjoyed the first section, Eleanor's witty tone and the mysterious hospital but was relieved to put the book down in the end. Perhaps I was meant to be asking the big questions about scepticism and neurology and paranormal experiences but I'd rather watch X-Fiiles!
I grabbed this at the meetup as I've enjoyed many King miniseries and their written companions, including "Rose Red".
Now I need to rent "Kingdom Hospital" on discount Tuesday before reading! Thanks.
