Utterly absorbing story of twin brothers with separate yet connected lives, intertwined with the story of their immigrant grandfather's arrival and early life in America.
I read this chunker (900 pages) on a holiday and it was really good to get stuck into rather than read in bits at bedtime.
My mum and dad also read this and both enjoyed it.
Ex-library copy.

Thanks for this book Korky - I am sure I will have a go at this book soon - but the number of pages rather scared me!

Journal Entry 4 by weebly from Hartwell, Northamptonshire United Kingdom on Sunday, October 22, 2006
I really enjoyed this book - it reminded me of Owen Meany alot. It had me in tears a few times - always good in a book where you can lose yourself in a story. I started off being a bit bored with Domenico's story in the 2nd half but after a while I was looking forward to finding out what happened to him too.
Thanks for encouraging me to read it Korky.
