The book is set in 1665 and 1666. many people believe it is the millennium and the book is written in the form of a journal.
very interesting to read the entries that occur on the day before or the day after most of the dates believed to be the most likely dates for the end.
needless to say the world does not end on any of those dates!!
The main character is a bookseller traveling the world to recover a book which contains the final name of God.
Some real historical facts (great plague, fire of london) are woven into the plot.
It was an okay read.
