The book will start its journey tomorrow morning.
Arrived today. Thank you!
Sorry, I don't like the stories and I gave up after reading 4 of them. I imagine something else when I hear "ghost story". For me it's something like a haunted house where strange things happen or people who see mysterious things that could be ghosts. The stories I've read in this book were different, which is not bad, but I didn't like them.
gut mit 2 weiteren Büchern angekommen
I'm afraid, I must give up, because the stories didn't come up to my expectations so far (they are rather old-fashioned). I hope, the banshees (Irish Ghost Stories) will do a better job...

Thanks for the book!
I liked the stories in this book, for I am very fond of these old-fashioned and often very British tales. My favourite was Algernon Blackwood's "The Wendigo", which reminded me of H.P. Lovecraft's or Robert E. Howard's "Cthulhu Mythos"-stories.
Find a more detailed review on my blog (but it's in German only).

On its way to Bookworm-lady in Spain.
I picked this up (together with its "book-mate") from the Post office on Monday
It seems just like my cup of tea; some of the stories are "old friends"; I will really enjoy reading... and re-reading them!

Well, as I expected: some "old friends", and some not so good...
My favourite, by far, is "The Crown Derby Plate", a traditional ghost story by Marjorie Bowen.
I also enjoyed "The Old Nurse s Story", by Mrs. Gaskell, and "Seaton s Aunt", by Walter de la Mare...
You see, I like my ghost stories traditional and old fashioned, if possible.
A good read, overall; it will soon be on its way to Pinkydinky.
Thanks for sharing...

Always nice to come back from holiday and find books not bills!
An enjoyable read with proper old fashioned ghost stories.
