From the back cover:
'On an Island off the coast of Maine, a man is found dead. There's no identification on his body. nly the dogged work of a pair of local newspapermen and a graduate student in forensics turns up any clues, and it's more than a year before the man is identified.
And that's just the beginning of the mystery. Because the more they learn about the man and the baffling circumstances of his death, the less they understand. Was it an impossible crime? Or something Stranger still...?'
This short read is really entertaining - Along the lines of King's later work, less horror themed and a little ambiguous. If you like King or crime novels, you'll probably like this one.

Left on a table near the restroom.
A slow read at first. Slightly confusing and dull in the first pages (probably because it isn't a staple of King's) however, I found myself reading on waiting for the clinches. I didn't actually find one yet I found myself enamored anyhow, unable to stop reading. The story unfolds relentlessly, in such a dull manner that it is confusingly amusing.
