I wasn't sure I was going to get into this book to start with as it wasn't quite what I was expecting it to be, but towards the end I couldn't put it down. It's fab!
Meena is a 9 year old growing up as part of the only Asian family in a little village called Tollington. She wants to fit in with the locals, particularly with Anita and constantly rebels against her parents.
It's very touching.
