Gone in a bookring !

Fifth book in the Knights Miscellany series which I am devouring thanks to Lluthiel's bookring. This one picks up with Lizzie whose heart has been broken by Alec and then goes to be lady's companion to the aunt of another rake. The rake turns out to have had tragic past (all his family killed in a fire) which he rightly surmises was no accident. I'm in the middle of the book right now... Devlin (Devil) is intent on solving the mystery and getting revenge... while pushing aside the love of Lizzie which reawakens a heart he refuses to believe he still has. (bit complicated, that sentence, sorry!) Anyway, trying to get some work done but am sore tempted to just call in sick and finish the book! (I won't though...)

This is a super book, although reading the series, it sort of disturbed me that Foley runs into the same pattern: the heroine finally acknowledges that she loves the hero, and makes up her mind to tell him, just as the hero goes off to wage a battle with the bad guys, not caring about the outcome because he believes the heroine doesn't love him. She does this in Lady of Desire, and does it again in this one. This being said, the story is really well-written and exciting, the characters are super and despite this annoying thing, it's still great. Thanks so much Lluthiel, for introducing me to this author. This book ring goes on to Germany from here, but I still have the next to read before sending.

So far the series was got to read at, but I had a bit off problem to get into this story... but finally I was able to finish reading the book.
Now it goes together on a journey to Portugal with the rest of the books.

What can I say?... Another lovely book from Gaelen Foley!
I was really glad she wrote about Lizzie, an honorable member of the Knight clan.
Devlin is a nice hero, but Lizzie steals the show for me! I really wanted a great story for her after her disappointment in Alec Knight and I think she gets it all: the fantastic love affair, the recognition of her beauty (mostly inner beauty that eventually shines through), etc.

Nice book,I enjayed it less that the others, because somehow is like reading the previous ones but with different characters! A bit tediuos!
