Picked up from my office bookshelf. This is an intensely written novel set in a village in Derbyshire, England, that isolated itself from the rest of the country when the Plague reached it in 1665. It is very readable and atmospheric, though I did think some of the sub plots toward the end were unnecessary.

I was in edinburgh on during my trip though europe waiting to use the computer ...when i saw a book shelf, well to my surprise, when i opened it i saw the bookcrossing sticker...i have heard of bookcrossing, but didnt know much about it. my travelling buddy has givin out a few books but has never actually picked up a bookcrossing book. so i thought i was pretty lucky. So when i finish it, i will give it to a book exchange somewhere in the general area of Calgary, Canada where i live.
