Latest Anne Tyler - expecting it to be good.
Just finished reading this - very pleasant but right up until the last page I felt like I was waiting for something to happen. Will probably lend to a few people before I put out in the wild.
Thanks Sharonann for all the books from your big clear-out. I will send this out into the world shortly.
Took this book along with others to last Sunday’s Bookcrossing Meetup - started reading it on the way into town and decided to keep it to read instead. I have just finished it, and like Sharonann I did expect something big to happen. It was an interesting look at developing friendships between an American family and an Iranian immigrant family, with the shared bond of their adopted Korean daughters. Their friendship began as a stilted getting together on the anniversaries of their daughters arrival into the country and grew each year as they got to know each other.
Some of the characters were well developed, and the story jumped from one character’s life to another. An easy and enjoyable read.

Many years since I read an Anne Tyler and this has been around a long time. Now it is my turn to read it.
