I received this book as a RABCK from laura0141 a couple of days ago, but the excitement and chaos of another new puppy rather got in the way of me journalling it straightaway.
Thanks so much Laura, it looks great, I'm really looking forward to reading it.

I've given this book a well deserved ten out of ten. It is is a truly magnificent book, words fail me when it comes to sharing the superb story that seems to contain all that is excellent in story-telling, emotion, love, secrets, mystery and above all nail- biting suspense.
This is a book not to missed in your lifetime, read it.

Danial is growing up in post war & revolution Barcelona, late 1940's early 50's.
His life is dominated by the events that follow on after his visit to the 'Cemetery of Forgotten Books', where he finds a mysterious book called 'Shadow of the Wind' by an even more mysterious and enigmatic author called Julian Carax.
This book has every thing, love, hate, violence, tenderness, cruelty, compassion, you name it. The characters are brilliantly portrayed. The story telling flows beautifully.
Translated from Spanish to English.
Next stop for this copy is Brazil.

Dear friend,
What a precious gift you share with us!
I am very sorry it has taken me so long to journal this book and thank you properly. I have had problems with Internet connection here were we live, 30 km from town; in this part of central Brazil Internet works wonderfully in the cities, but not outside them. Also, I am undergoing a very serious health situation which implies taking morphine to fight the pain in a growth in my right lower leg muscle. But here I am, thanking and wishing you the very best in life!
The book you sent will be read and passed on!
Love,
Onaldo
