I picked this copy up from a local charity shop. It's in fairly poor condition, but will happily be read a few more times.
The copy I read was one of the swanky new penguin classics that came out about eight years ago. It was a themed holiday read whilst I was at university. I was doing a module called "Dealing with disease in Early Modern Europe", and my interest overflowed.
It's a good story, although the episode I remember most strongly is the elderly man marking time by placing peas from one container to another.

I picked this book up in the Phonebooth on June 12th when I was calling back home to Canada. It was a pleasent surprise. looking forward to reading it and releasing it.
